“Mustang” Marching Band Competition-McDevitt
A Wiesman once said, “I’ll accept the run for the first competition…” He sounded like it was a mediocre performance, something that would be football game worthy, not for Tournament of Bands competition. However, when it was time for awards, West Perry “Mustang” Marching Band flew out of the water with a first place win with a score of 81.28, beating last year’s score of 76.483. The marching band continued to compete and prepared to get higher scores and bettering the show. The band’s overall placement in the running was third.

“Mustang” Marching Band Competition Mechanicsburg-Atlantic Coast Championships
The band practiced nervously as the weight of the last competition settle on them. Nerves were high and tempers were low. After tears in the band room for the end of the season, the band gave it their best, putting both heart and soul into the performance and in my opinion, it was the best performance the band had. The judges agreed as for the first time in West Perry history, beating the score our predecessors had in 2003, the marching band broke a 90 and had the final score of 90.065 and out of 26 bands, they finished in sixth.
The band worked hard for all of their achievements and they are looking forward to the next season. Congratulations to everyone involved, including the directors and color guard and everyone else!
