On November 9, four amazing schools came out to West Perry High School to compete in the Perry County Cheer Competition. Though doors didn't open until six and the event didn't start until seven, the ticket line began lining the sidewalk at five-thirty!
Greenwood, Susquenita, Newport, and West Perry all took the floor, their routines fiercely competitive. They all brought their A-game, their tumbles and stunts bringing cheers to the crowd. Before the winners were announced, the PA Extreme cheerleaders of all ages took to the mats, including a very special performance by the Heroes. Every single performer did phenomenal. When it came down to it, Newport won first prize, taking the crown from Greenwood, who won last year. The 2017 PeCo Competition will be held at Newport. Stay tuned for new information on the Mustang cheerleaders! |
