Varsity Football - August 28, 2014

West Perry started off their football season with a Varsity away game in Big Spring on August 28th, 2014.
Beginning with the ball, West Perry’s #82, Kyle Thoman, received starting kick. Early on in the game, during the 1st quarter, Big Spring got a touchdown and their extra point kick was good, making the score 7-0. Attempting to regain stamina and make up for the lag in score, #42 Josh
Comp caught the kick off, but the play didn’t continue on after that. Defense continued to try their best, frequently mentioned names including ; Zach Rudy, #32, Talen Thebes, #23, Chris Lehman, #12, Cameron May, #15, and #58 Christian Puchalsky.
Towards the end of the first quarter, junior player Curtis Fry,
#33, was taken out for an injury. During the second and fourth quarters, Big Spring succeeded in scoring two touchdowns, only one extra point counting towards the final score. The game ended with a final score of 28-0, West Perry Mustangs losing against the Big Spring Bulldogs.
